On November 16-17th, 2019 we have visited Video Game Culture Con GameON as exhibitors and presented Escape the Lab to loads and loads of people!
During the Video Game Con GameON we got to meet a lot of interested players – from adults to children!
It was very exciting to see how people of different ages would react to the game, or just spectate how they are playing Escape the Lab overall. This helped us a lot with adjusting the game’s difficulty level, as well as improving some gameplay mechanics.
Also, we got really motivated with development after seeing that people are enjoying the game. Everyone had their own playstyle.
Children were mostly immersed into the Virtual World interactivity – they were throwing everything around, breaking stuff, or just overall playing the game as they would play with loads of toys in their own room.
Adults were quite the opposite – they tried to read most of the instructions, perform the required experiments and search for clues so that they could escape the laboratory. Sadly, the game was way too difficult at the time, so only a few of players were able to pass the level.
After receiving all the feedback from event visitors, we have adjusted a lot of features. The interest of all these people has led us to release the game as an Early Access version into the Steam Store.
